Universal Twin Chamber Blow Off Valve The APEXi Twin Chamber Blowoff Valve (BOV) utilizes a revolutionary new Dual Chamber design engineered for high and low boost response. On turbocharged vehicles, blowoff Valves release excessive boost pressure trapped inside the intake pipe when the throttle is released. This release of pressure is important because as the vehicle accelerates, the turbo builds a high pressure air stream through the throttle body and into the motor. When the driver lets off of the accelerator and closes the throttle plate, the trapped air instantenously has nowhere to go. This trapped air begins to travel back towards the turbine blade causing excessive strain on the blades. Prolonged exposure to these conditions can cause premature turbo wear and eventually cause turbo failure. The APEXi Twin Chamber Blowoff Valve (BOV) is designed to effectively release this pressure into the atmosphere. The unique twin chamber design of the APEXi Twin Chamber Blowoff Valve (BOV) allows for a quick response without causing any excessive turbo lag between gears. The APEXi Twin Chamber Blowoff Valve (BOV) features 3 point sound adjustment and a spring tension adjusting screw. The piston sits inside the top chamber for reduced wear and a valve sits in the bottom chamber using the assisting vacuum hose to release excess pressure. The APEXi Twin Chamber Blowoff Valve (BOV) is capable of up to 2 kg/cm2 (29.4 PSI) of boost and is housed in a high finish aluminum housing for an attractive finish.
